Ringkasan Cerita FILM JEON WOOCHI: THE TAOIST WIZARD (2009) :

500 Years Ago in the Chosun Dynasty. The Pipe of the prophecy has fallen into the evil hands of the goblins, propelling the world into a whirlwind of disorder. The ancient Taoist wizards turn to the greatest ascetics of their time, the Master and Hwadam (Kim Yoon-seok) for help in vanquishing the goblins and trust each wizard with one half of the Pipe.

Meanwhile, the Master’s rascal student Woochi (Kang Dong-won) tricks the king with the art of transformation and creates a fiasco, which makes the three Taoist wizards and Hwadam visit the Master. But the Master has been murdered and his half of the Pipe is missing! By taking his master’s pipe out to the market streets, Woochi has been pushed into a corner, ultimately getting sealed into a painting along with his trusty dog, Chorangyi (Yoo Hae-jin).

Ringkasan Cerita FILM KAIJI: THE ULTIMATE GAMBLER (2009) :

Kaiji Ito adalah seorang pemuda yang pindah ke Jepang setelah lulus sekolah. Di Jepang dia tidak mendapatkan pekerjaan dan sangat frustasi pada kehidupan sosialitas yang sangat besar. Akhirnya Kaiji menghabiskan waktunya dengan berjudi, merusak mobil dan mabuk-mabukan

2 tahun kemudian dimana kehidupannya tidak semakin membaik. Seorang penagih hutang bernama Endo datang dan meminta Kaiji untuk membayar hutang-hutangnya. Si penagih hutang tersebut memberikan Kaiji 2 pilihan: menghabiskan 10 tahun hidupnya untuk membayar hutangnya atau ikut dalam sebuah pertandingan judi dalam sebuah kapal pesiar dalam semalam untuk mengembalikan hutang dan kemungkinan besar menang banyak.

Sementara dalam kenyataannya si penagih hutang ini hanya menipu Kaiji dan percaya kalau Kaiji tak akan pernah kembali dari perjalanannya. Di tempat lain di dalam pelayaran Kaiji berjibaku untuk tetap mempertahankan hidupnya.

To pay off his debts, Kaiji (Tatsuya Fujiwara) takes on the mother of all pachinko machines named “Numa” – a machine having the top jackpot of over 1 billion yen. Meanwhile, Seiya Ichizo (Yusuke Iseya) controls the machine from a remote location to ensure the machine never pays out the jackpot. Kaiji (Tatsuya Fujiwara) and Seiya Ichizo soon find themselves facing off in a high stakes game that may have dire consequences.
